get involved

volunteers are always welcome

The Te Puke Community Garden is powered by people who are willing to lend a hand.

We welcome individuals, families, students, community groups, and anyone else who would like to get involved. You don’t need to be an experienced gardener — a willingness to learn and help is all you need.

You can volunteer regularly, join us for a working bee, or simply lend a hand when you have the time.

There’s always something that needs doing in a garden!

what volunteers help with

  • Planting, weeding, and harvesting
  • Seed raising and caring for seedlings
  • Preparing and maintaining garden beds
  • General garden maintenance
  • Helping with events, workshops, and open days
  • Sharing gardening skills and knowledge
  • Fundraising and supporting garden projects

There are jobs for all levels of experience, abilities, and interests.

Working Bees

Our regular working bees are a great way to get involved without having to make a long-term commitment. Come along, meet other volunteers, get your hands dirty, and help keep the garden growing.

No gardening experience is required.
